Our Products
The United Kingdom Government has introduced a tax on plastic packaging with less than 30% post consumer recycled content. Chase Plastics is ideally placed to enable its customers to meet these objectives. Our Customers are achieving superb results by introducing RECOTHENE™ recycled polythene into high performance packaging applications, at addition rates in excess of 30%.
Our Products
Chase Plastics buys all types of clean polythene packaging waste and production waste. Chase Plastics have never been involved in the export of plastic waste, we recycle 100% of the material we buy into a valuable raw material.
Materials We Buy
Chase Plastics provides 'toll' or service recycling and compounding for customers who require their own material to be processed. We operate an efficient collection and return service with a full audit trail.
Service Recycling and compounding
We work with companies who have plastic waste arising in their operations, for example bottling plants, distribution centres and contract packing operations, to improve their management of this waste.
Recycling Consultancy

Embracing the challenge of cleaning the oceans.

Partnering with Summit Systems and Ocean Integrity, a global enterprise dedicated to recovering ocean plastics, we recycle ocean-recovered Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) for use in the manufacturing supply chain where it contributes to the Circular Economy. Ocean rPE is available directly from Chase Plastics or via Summit Systems.

Our three-stage process of recycling, blending and pelletising provides excellent homogeneous strand cut pellets of the highest quality and consistency.

Chase Plastics buys all types of clean polythene packaging waste and production waste.
RECOTHENE™ recycled polythene is batch blended between the recycling and final pelletisation processes, ensuring each batch consists of homogenous pellets of the highest quality.
We have a unique process which produces homogeneous batch blended strand cut pellets. This also enables us to engineer our materials to suit the customers’ precise requirements.

RECOTHENE™ by Chase Plastics

The RECOTHENE™ range of recycled polythene is engineered to ensure the highest levels of processability and product quality as evidenced by our EUCertPlast accreditation. RECOTHENE™ is successfully used in both flexible and rigid packaging and non-packaging applications. RECOTHENE™ is available from both pre and post-consumer sources.

Regulatory Compliance and Packaging Recovery Notes

Chase Plastics Limited has been an Environment Agency accredited UK reprocessor of plastic since the Producer Responsibility Regulations were introduced in 1998. As such, we are subject to regular inspections by the Environment Agency. We are able to supply Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs) to companies obligated under the Producer Responsibility Regulations who sell us their waste directly.

In 2020 we have achieved EUCertPlast accreditation which recognises the highest standards of material traceability, quality and process control in plastics recycling.
